Moolap - rural acreage and light industrial harmony
Literally where the city meets the country, plenty of money is finding its way into Moolap, with investors ‘land banking’ en-route to cut and carving subject to STCA.
There are already a number of former working farms being sold off as acreages or smaller blocks to compliment the existing suite of million dollar plus hobby farms in Moolap.
Stock levels are low in this area. Conveniences are located in nearby Newcomb whilst the CBD itself is a little more than ten minutes away. This combination of true rural living in such close proximity to town is unrivalled in the region. Throw in close proximity to Reedy Creek and the Lake Connewarre water system and it’s a winning combination.
But buyer beware in some locales. A light industrial estate runs between the eastern section of Portarlington Rd and High St with an eclectic mix of warehoused businesses.
And if you think that lot size restrictions might come down over time, they might. But they might not.
Entertainment stalwart Club Italia (Italian Social Club Geelong) on Queenscliff Rd Moolap offers meals on a Sunday evening and social Bocce in their amazing indoor Bocce courts on Thursdays and Sundays. Prego!
