Armstrong Creek - newbie growth a go-go

This new community development runs along the creek of the same name, from Barwon Heads road in the east, to Ghazepore Rd in the west. This significant parcel of residential and retailing space will provide hundreds of new dwellings to absorb population growth forecast for the Geelong region over the coming years.

If shiny new homes appeal over established suburbs in Geelong, then Armstrong Creek is definitely the location for you. With parks and gardens featuring heavily in the design, here’s a suburb with family buyers very much in its sights.

Holistic medical facilities will be provided by GMHBA, appealing to both young families and a maturing demographic who highly value these amenities.

At this point, construction has commenced on three distinct estates within Armstrong Creek. West of the Surf Coast Highway is Armstrong Mt Duneed. East of the Surf Coast Highway is Warralilly Coast, which will eventually link to  Warralilly Promenade off Barwon Heads Rd.

Keystone Business Park in the old industrial zone along the Barwon River is also part of this broader neighbourhood.

Shopping services aren’t slated to open until 2017 with primary and special needs schooling kicking off in the 2018 school year. For now, Grovedale offers the closest local schooling options. For those seeking private education, Geelong Lutheran College on the Surf Coast Highway has a solid reputation and is already offering prep to year 12 places.

It’s a short drive to either Marshall or Waurn Ponds train stations. Over time, the latter may be in walking distance from new housing that connects Armstrong Creek to those more established suburbs.

Across Armstrong Creek there’s price-points covering first home buyers, upgrader’s and down-sizer budgets, so you’ll find a variety of block sizes and build finishes on offer.
